Thorp Arch has always been credited for its success as emerging talents are produced at Leeds United.

In recent time the Gray brothers standout as two who have a huge future, of course, Archie Gray is away from Leeds, but Harry Gray has got a platform to build on at Elland Road.

It’s become apparent that Daniel Farke loves to give youngsters a chance at the Whites, and Farke planned a ‘relatively young’ January transfer approach which gives fans a hint to where he’ll take the summer’s business.

However, Leeds have some gems that haven’t been entirely produced by the academy.

One player has just received some praise from a Premier League star, as Farke may want to consider giving him a chance.

Aston Villa’s Andres Garcia says Leeds United’s Mateo Joseph is ‘incredible’

Mateo Joseph is certainly a young talent in the Leeds squad, as Farke compared Joseph to Erling Haaland.

Despite his loyalty to the Whites, Joseph almost jumped ship in January, as Real Betis wanted Joseph explaining why the Spanish striker is highly thought of at Leeds.

It also seems like he is looked at in high regard when playing for Spain, as Aston Villa star and national teammate Andres Garcia has been speaking to the Print Edition of ABC (25/03/25) saying how ‘incredible’ Joseph is.

“Players like Mateo or the Sunderland lad [Mayenda]. They have a very high level; even though they’re in England’s second division, they’re incredible,” Garcia said.

“There may be people hidden in the divisions we don’t know about who also suddenly make a jump. It’s been a small step forward that helps me achieve these kinds of things.”

Joseph still has a lot to prove under Farke at Leeds

The Leeds striker has had a lot of praise during the international break, as not only has Garcia hailed the youngster, but also, Spain fans are in awe of Joseph.

Despite his success with the Spain under-21s, it hasn’t quite worked out for him at Leeds this season.

Joel Piroe has taken the striker spot with the Whites, leaving Joseph in the dark, as Farke has criticised Joseph at times.

Nevertheless, he does have a big future, but he needs to start proving it soon before Farke gets other ideas.
