Dominic Calvert-Lewin has already repaid the faith that Leeds United showed in him, according to one former title-winner.
Daniel Farke took something of a gamble when he sanctioned the signing of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with the Leeds number nine having struggled for goals in his final years with Everton.
However, the striker has found a new lease of life since joining Leeds, with Calvert-Lewin thrusting himself back into England contention, having scored four goals in four games.
Calvert-Lewin admitted that he was not happy with a point after his bullet header saved Leeds from a ninth consecutive defeat in London.
Now, title-winning former Leeds defender Jon Newsome has congratulated the striker, claiming he has already repaid the faith shown in him by the club.

Jon Newsome praises Leeds United star Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds at full-time of Leeds’ draw against Brentford, former Leeds defender Newsome praised Calvert-Lewin’s recent goalscoring exploits.
According to Newsome, Leeds are getting a “really good return” out of the striker, who has now scored five goals in the Premier League this season.
Newsome said: “He jumps so early, doesn’t he, Calvert-Lewin? But he hangs. He’s got this ability to get up there, and he hangs.
“As the ball was travelling towards him, on his head, there was only one place he was going. He just glanced it into that far corner, turned away and went and celebrated with the Leeds fans, and quite rightly so.”
