The Leeds United fans unveiled a brilliant new chant to salute star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin as he continued his prolific goal-scoring run.

Daniel Farke inspired another Leeds comeback against Brentford as his Leeds side appeared to be drifting towards defeat after Jordan Henderson opened the scoring for the Bees.

The Leeds boss reverted to four at the back in response to Brentford’s second-half goal, introducing Willy Gnonto and Brenden Aaronson to chase the game.

The change worked wonders, as Gnonto delivered a superb cross, which Dominic Calvert-Lewin rose to meet, guiding a header into the bottom corner.

Calvert-Lewin’s goal was the least that Leeds deserved, having more than matched Brentford, and the fans showed their appreciation for their striker with a brilliant new chant.

Leeds United salute Dominic Calvert-Lewin with new chant

Calvert-Lewin took some time to find his feet at Leeds, but he is now showing his full worth for the Whites.

The former Everton man has now scored in four consecutive games, and calls for Calvert-Lewin to return to the England squad will only grow after another impressive performance.

Calvert-Lewin had not earned his own chant before this game, but Leeds fans shouted out two new songs to show their appreciation for the number nine at the G-Tech Stadium.

First, they repurposed the classic chant that used to be reserved for Patrick Bamford. However, fans then reworked Wham’s Christmas hit, Last Christmas, to include the number nine’s name.

It is safe to say that if Calvert-Lewin can continue his current run of goal-scoring form, Leeds fans will be singing the song all year round.

Calvert-Lewin is now on his best goal-scoring run of form since the 2020/21 season, when he scored in five consecutive games.

With his injury problems seemingly behind him, Calvert-Lewin will have one eye on matching his goal tally from that season, when he scored a career-best 16 Premier League goals.
