It’s clear that players will be leaving Leeds United this summer in a major overhaul.

This was made apparent by Paraag Marathe, who said Elland Road exits are likely in a honest admission.

Marathe will of course not want this to be the reality, but to move the club forward like he wants to, this is the only way.

Well, on the other side of things at Leeds, one player could actually end up staying after making his intentions clear.

Junior Firpo asks for Leeds United contract from Paraag Marathe

Daniel Farke will be hoping for this revamp so he can exercise his own ideas on the squad for the Premier League.

Marathe is having a lot of trust in his manager, as Farke is highly involved in Leeds’ transfers.

Whether this is the right decision is unknown, but Marathe might have just been handed a lifeline in keeping a major player at the club.

Junior Firpo’s Leeds career is uncertain and it has been for a while ever since Firpo’s agents said a stay was ‘unlikely’.

However, following the aftermath of an incredible title parade, which saw an estimated 150,000 Leeds fans, Firpo sent a message to Marathe.

Speaking on Jayden Bogle’s Instagram live video, the left-back can be heard saying “Paraag, send me the ting man” in a reference to a potential new contract.

Of course, this might not be the honest truth as the squad did get a little worse for wear with their celebrations.

Well, after Ethan Ampadu hinted at Firpo joining Real Betis, this comes as a surprise, with the captain maybe revealing the 28-year-old’s future which left him unhappy.

This will bring both sides into the equation now, as after a brilliant season with 14 goal contributions from defence, Elland Road might be Firpo’s destiny after all
