Junior Firpo’s future at Leeds United has been looking uncertain for a while, but Ethan Ampadu has just dropped a potential bombshell.

Leeds’ title parade was a brilliant occasion for fans after Daniel Farke’s side finished on 100 points, beating Burnley to the crown.

The race was close but in the end deserved by Leeds, and now Farke will have a task on his hands to keep the squad in tact.

Paraag Marathe can see players sold this summer, which gives a major blow to that happening, and Firpo could be among that prospect.

Well now captain Ampadu may have just revealed some major news regarding the left-back’s Elland Road future.

Ethan Ampadu hints at Junior Firpo’s Leeds United future at title parade

With it being made clear that the Leeds players want Manor Solomon to stay, Ampadu may have just gone one step too far.

During the celebrations, the Whites captain was the conductor of all the chants going on, and was taking in every moment after a season of ups and downs.

In terms of the future though, Firpo could return to Real Betis, and Ampadu might have just dropped a massive hint on that happening.

With the parade in full swing, Firpo’s chant could be heard being sung, but that’s when the Leeds defender decided to repeatedly chant ‘Real Betis, Betis, Betis, Betis’ (1:55:31).

To make matters worse for Ampadu, Firpo wasn’t best pleased, saying, ‘You shouldn’t have done that,’ and the captain might have some strong words said to him in the morning after his antics.

Firpo will be a major loss to Farke at Leeds

As mentioned, Farke will be hoping he can keep the majority of the squad to retain the unity they’ve built up.

Firpo is one of those who is more experienced in the squad, with the 28-year-old now in his fourth season with the club.

With Firpo’s agents seeing a Leeds stay as ‘unlikely’ and now Ampadu potentially revealing his future, it looks set to be his last for the club, but it’s some way to bow out.

Despite having lows in Yorkshire, this season alone has shown exactly why he’s lauded upon, and no doubt he will excell at his next club, which is looking likely to be a return to Betis according to Ampadu.
