Leeds United are steadily being linked with potential new managers amid uncertainty over Daniel Farke’s future.

Leeds United were promoted to the Premier League on Monday. Naturally that would be deemed a great achievement for the manager, but for Daniel Farke, it might prove the end of his stay at Elland Road.

It’s reported that Leeds United could sack Farke ahead of the 225/26 Premier League season and replace him with someone more suited to the top flight.

But Leeds fans aren’t impressed after seeing rumours of Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou replacing Farke at Elland Road.

Leeds United fans unimpressed at Ange Postecoglou rumours

TeamTalk posted on X saying that Leeds United are considering Postecoglou to replace Farke. Although their report stems from a previous report from Express which simply named five managers who Leeds United could turn to. There’s no official link between Postecoglou and Leeds United.

Either way, Leeds United fans have made it clear that they don’t want Postecoglou arriving at the club. Comments ranged from “why downgrade?”, to “oh dear god no not Ange, look elsewhere,” and even “I think I’d rather have [Paul] Heckingbottom.”

This Leeds fan added: “If that happened, I would have to question my allegiance, never rated him,” as another posted: “Haha seeing people on here saying they would like Ange Postecoglou at Leeds. I’d rather keep Farke thank you very much.”

“Ange Postecoglou to Leeds is one of the worst shouts I’ve ever seen,” said another Leeds United fan.

A similar comment read: “We only sack Farke if we can get in a quality counter-attacking coach. Ange would relegate us before Southampton this season.”

Ange Postecoglou’s Premier League record in charge of Spurs

Whilst Farke’s Premier League record of six wins in 49 games with Norwich City is certainly poor, it was in charge of a Norwich side who always, inevitably, struggled in the top flight.

But Postecoglou has had money at Spurs. He inherited a good team, too. But his record in charge of the North Londoners leaves a lot to be desired.

Many Leeds United fans seem keen on Farke staying but the 49ers may upset them, and sack Farke before the summer transfer window opens in June.

If they do then who comes in remains a complete mystery at this moment in time.
