Crysencio Summerville is bound to attract Premier League interest this month after his start to the season with Leeds United.

And speculation has not taken long to arrive with Newcastle United now reportedly keen on a move for the 22-year-old, according to Football Transfers.

The Magpies have been plagued with injury problems this term that has seen them fail to reach the heights of last season, and therefore could be in for a busy January, with Summerville among the targets.

However, with Leeds firmly on the hunt for automatic promotion, Daniel Farke has already confirmed that it is the Whites’ priority to ensure none of their stars depart this month.

And the stance of Summerville himself has now been revealed by Team Talk journalist James Marshment, who reports that he has ‘no desire to move right now’ following his start to the season.

Summerville keen on Leeds stay

Leeds lost a large number of first team players in the summer following relegation and in the early months of the summer, he had been expected to be one of them.

However, Summerville shared how after talks with his agent and those around him, he made the decision that staying at Leeds would be the best choice for his career, which it has proved to be.

Daniel Farke also made it clear to Leeds’ board that it was vital to retain the services of Summerville, with an offer of £20 million from Burnley turned down in the final stages of the window.

And it would now appear that despite interest from the Premier League once again, Summerville will turn it down in order to achieve his goal of getting promotion with Leeds.

Whether that is achieved or not, Summerville will undoubtedly be a Premier League player next season and if it is not with Leeds, no one could begrudge him given the loyalty he has shown, when so many others didn’t.
