Leeds United are reluctant to lose any of their key players during the January transfer window.
Daniel Farke has already confirmed that it is the Whites’ priority to ensure none of their stars depart this month, having lost so many first team players in the summer.
With Leeds firmly in the automatic promotion picture after rebuilding their squad, the club are eager to avoid a repeat of last year, but that will not stop clubs from showing interest.
And according to Football Transfers, Newcastle United could now reignite their pursuit of winger Crysencio Summerville, amid their recent poor run of form and injury troubles.
Summerville was the subject of interest from several top-flight clubs in the summer with Leeds even rejecting an offer of £20 million from Burnley, but his stock is likely to have grown even further after his start to the season.
49ers don’t want to sell Leeds star Summerville
As per the report, a deal this month for Summerville will be hard to do with San Francisco 49ers Enterprises keen to keep him due to how important he is to the promotion push.
Summerville has been one of, if not the best player in the Championship this season having scored 12 goals and provided six assists across 23 league appearances so far.

Farke was a key factor as to why Summerville stayed at Elland Road in the last window, after he had initially been expected to leave following relegation.
But the 22-year-old has repeatedly insisted that it is now his goal to help Leeds get back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, having decided that staying was best for his career.
Newcastle could well be in the market for a new winger this month due to Miguel Almiron’s struggle for form, and Harvey Barnes’ injury problems. Whether they can get a deal done for Summerville, remains to be seen.
