Despite Leeds United taking a major step towards the Premier League, big decisions still need to be made.

Daniel Farke has the power to determine whether it’s a comfortable end to the season for Leeds, but of course in true fashion, expect challenges in the next few weeks.

His decisions in the summer have helped the Whites get to where they are, as Farke was proved right by Jayden Bogle’s signing.

This is just one of many that has worked in his favour, but he has to stay on the ball with other choices.

One major decision has arisen over the past weeks, but Farke might be reluctant to make changes after the wish he made.

Daniel Farke’s wish for Joel Piroe at Leeds United

It was a largely positive day at Elland Road on Saturday, but Joel Piroe’s performance certainly raised eyebrows.

Leeds fans chanted Patrick Bamford’s name as Piroe had an afternoon to forget, having missed countless chances.

This has ultimately left Farke pondering whether to actually drop the Dutchman for Bamford, but he might want to stand by his previous claim in February.

Following on from Leeds’ 4-0 victory at Watford, Farke made a statement on Piroe, which has unfortunately not continued, and it’s in his hands to determine whether his wish comes true.

“He comes into good situations. Credit to the team for getting him in the positions to score. We have to make sure that he stays on it,” Farke said.

“I’m not happy with his goal tally so far if the season would end right now – I want him to come closer to 20 goals and even more.”

Leeds fans want Piroe axed as Farke should agree after previous decision

It’s become clear that it’s unlikely Piroe will hit the goal tally of 20 goals.

Although it’s been an impressive campaign with 15 hitting the back of the net, one goal in nine starts just isn’t going to cut it in such pivotal moments.

Had Leeds not scooped up the three points, Piroe would’ve been in real trouble, but it hasn’t stopped Leeds fans being finished with Piroe after Preston.

It’s now up to the Leeds boss to take action, and after Farke dropping Illan Meslier for Karl Darlow has paid off dividends, he should trust Whites fans’ intuition.

Bamford has proven he can be relied upon, and with such a tight run-in, Farke has to drop Piroe.
