Daniel Farke has provided an injury update ahead of Leeds United’s trip to Bristol City on Friday.
The Whites were without a number of key first team players for last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Plymouth Argyle but have had almost a full week to prepare ahead of the trip down south.
Pascal Struijk, Archie Gray, Dan James and Crysencio Summerville were all missing for different reasons, with the former a long-term absentee, as he is still yet to play in 2024.
However, speaking in his pre-match press conference, Farke has delivered a positive injury update on the other three, in what will be a major boost to his squad.
Farke says both Summerville and Gray are back in contention for the match against the Robins, while James is also progressing well, though Friday night will come too soon for him.
Farke provides positive injury update
He said: “Some good news. Summerville back in training and available for this game. Archie Gray is back in training and back available. Also some good progress with Dan James and Pascal Struijk but for this game and this week, not available.”
Having lost both Djed Spence and Luke Ayling, Leeds are very short at right-back at the moment and so having Gray back will be crucial to the chances of getting a win.

Gray picked up a knee injury in the win over Norwich City seven days ago, but thankfully avoided any significant damage, and is already back in training.
Summerville, meanwhile, was left out last weekend as more of a precaution after suffering with some adductor problems in the final training session before Plymouth.
However, again, it was nothing serious and Leeds’ talisman is now back fit and available again for the first match of a very busy Febuary.
