Wilfried Gnonto handed major transfer opportunity at Champions League club as Leeds United future uncertain

Wilfried Gnonto might see his tenure at Leeds United finally come to an end and it’s all because of Daniel Farke.

With Leeds being on top form this season, it’s always difficult for a manager to change his plans for the team.

This has unfortunately lead to Gnonto falling into a category of a lack of game time at the club.

With Dan James and Manor Solomon on absolute flames recently, the Italian hasn’t been able to find his place.

Gnonto has reacted well to his Leeds game-time, but it doesn’t mean he wouldn’t opt to leave Elland Road in the summer, as a massive club has come looking.

Wilfried Gnonto given chance to swap Leeds United for Champions League

The 21-year-old winger is certainly far behind in the pecking order when it seemed at one stage that Gnonto was someone Farke could build around at Leeds.

After Gnonto handed in his transfer request last season, it’s still a surprise to see the Italian at the club today.

A request could creep up again for Gnonto at Leeds, especially after a new report linking him with an extraordinary move to Inter Milan.

Interlive.it have linked Gnonto with a return to his home country, claiming that the 21-year-old’s agents have ‘proposed’ a move for the winger to make the jump to Milan.

At the moment, Inter aren’t very ‘hot’ on Gnonto’s profile, and it would certainly be hard to gain that status considering his current game-time.

It would be difficult for Gnonto to refuse a move to an Italian giant, as it’s not every day that one of the most successful clubs in Italy come knocking on your door but Farke has the chance to change that.

Farke must start Gnonto for Leeds vs Millwall otherwise future is made up

It has now emerged as the perfect time to bring Gnonto back into the frame for Leeds, as Farke has a huge part to play in the Italian staying or going.

It wasn’t a flattering afternoon for Solomon or James, as Leeds lost 1-0 to Portsmouth, with both wingers proving non-existent for once.

Farke has been sent clear messages as Aidy White wants Gnonto to start vs Millwall and it seems the Leeds fanbase might want a change in the team after two games without a win.

Whatever happens, happens, but if Gnonto doesn’t make the cut on Tuesday, he might as well pack his bags and get ready for a summer move.
