The focus at Leeds United can now shift into more attacking areas as Daniel Farke needs a goalscorer.
It might be a harsh remark on Joel Piroe, but another striker is needed at Elland Road, one with Premier League quality.
That’s what the 49ers expect as well, with Leeds wanting another number nine, and have made this evidently clear despite Lukas Nmecha’s arrival as well.
Farke wants an array of options clearly, as £30m could be spent on a striker, with goals normally being a weak point of sides battling for survival.
Well, there have been talks of a certain Brazilian joining Leeds as journalist Ben Jacobs reveals all.

What Leeds United have said about signing Richarlison this summer
There are already two Brazilians being linked with a switch to Yorkshire in the form of Rodrigo Muniz and Igor Paixao.
Paixao has been ‘fully approved’ and Muniz is being worked on for Leeds, despite having a £35m club-record fee rejected.
Despite these two being of interest, this isn’t the name now being linked with Leeds, as Tottenham’s Richarlison has entered the frame.
The ever-so reliable Jacobs has spoken to the Last Word On Spurs and claimed what Leeds have told him about a possible approach for Richarlison.
“There remains Saudi and also some Brazilian interest in Richarlison. So, let’s see how that one develops,” Jacobs said.
“I think Leeds was the other link, but when I went to Leeds, much like Everton, it was largely downplayed for Richarlison because it’s a big fee and quite a high wage as well.”
How Richarlison compares with Leeds’ priority target Muniz
It’s certainly an ambitious name linked with the Whites but there is no denying that Richarlison’s future looks uncertain.
However, the wages he will demand won’t fit into the 49ers’ plans this summer, so it’s best they avoid.
But the Spurs forward does come with credibility, as he is known to be on his day one of the more dangerous players in the Premier League.
But Muniz is, for one, a younger option and arguably better for where Leeds want to be right now.
Muniz also trumps Erling Haaland in some categories, which is a rare feat to come by, and although Richarlison’s signing would no doubt be welcomed, the 49ers have to stick to their task with Muniz.
| Richarlison in 24/25 | Muniz in 24/25 | |
| Games played | 15 | 31 |
| Goals | 4 | 8 |
| Shots on target per 90 | 1.26 | 1.80 |
| Chances created | 4 | 7 |
| Aerial duels won % | 30.3% | 51.5% |
It seems as though Muniz is edging closer to Leeds, and the Fulham striker could be their big-money move.
They’ve done well not to be tempted by any possible transfer for Richarlison, with his injuries a massive factor after just 15 outings last campaign.
