Leeds United are back on the radar of Feyenoord winger Igor Paixao this summer.
Daniel Farke is building the base of his squad, but now it’s time to add some excitement and flair.
That’s exactly what the 49ers plan to do with Paixao, as the Brazilian is high up on their list a month ahead of the Premier League’s opener against Everton.
Paixao has been dubbed ‘another Georginio Rutter’, giving Leeds fans the exact sort of winger they need to replace the Frenchman.
Now Leeds are pursuing Paixao despite him currently being injured, but there appears to be a new problem in the deal.

Leeds United have a new problem in pursuit of Igor Paixao
After his brilliance in the Eredivisie, it’s clear to see why Arsenal also wanted Paixao.
The winger has proven he’s a threat for Feyenoord, and it appears he’s ready for the next step in the Premier League.
Paixao has been open to a Leeds move for some time now, and the 24-year-old will be eager to see what happens in the coming weeks.
To think his injury hasn’t dampened negotiations proves how special the Brazilian could truly be, but there is another problem in the deal.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri has reported that the Whites have ‘fully approved’ Paixao, and see the attacker making an immediate impact.
To make things look smoother, Feyenoord rejected a bid from Marseille, who are also instead, but it’s Leeds being reluctant in the deal.
Paixao’s £26m asking price has made Leeds ‘hesitant’ in the deal, as the whole transfer is looking ‘complicated’ to complete.

What sources around Leeds are also suggesting about Paixao deal
It seems like the Brazilian could be Leeds’ next coming of Raphinha, and in fact, Paixao takes inspiration from the Barcelona winger.
The 24-year-old clearly provides the same stature as Raphinha when he signed from Rennes, but the 49ers won’t want pressure on the signing.
But what’s similar to the former Leeds winger is Paixao’s venomous shot power, which Raphinha used expertly at Elland Road.
Well, as Leeds are being hesitant with the overall deal, our sources have confirmed that the hierarchy are starting to worry.
This is due to the 49ers wanting more sales, and it’s not as simple as signing priority targets like Paixao and Anton Stach.
They have a few more to sort after that, and the budget has to stretch, so Paixao might be a long saga.
