Leeds United are busy working hard to find a replacement for Crysencio Summerville, but one option was spotted in the stands ahead of a move to a Championship rival this summer.
Summerville’s move to West Ham this month has highlighted the need for wingers at Leeds this month. The Dutchman’s departure follows Jaidon Anthony’s return to Bournemouth, and Ian Poveda departing.
Of course, Wilfried Gnonto could always leave before the end of the window and The Yorkshire side need to get their skates on and find themselves a new wide man, and possibly even two additions out wide.
Plenty have been linked with a move to Elland Road, and one player touted is Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. The 21-year-old, described as “magical” by Roy Hodgson, endured a poor 2023-24 campaign.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi spotted during Sheffield United’s 4-2 win
The winger managed just eight outings for Palace during 2023-24, after starring on loan at Charlton the season prior with 24 goal involvements. It has seen plenty of Championship clubs show interest in him.
Leeds tabled a £15m bid to sign Rak-Sakyi, but Palace rejected the move as they want to keep him and instead send him on loan to a Championship club. Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United have won the race.
So much so that the Yorkshire Post report Rak-Sakyi was in attendance at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night as he watched his new side secure a place in the Carabao Cup second round, beating Wrexham 4-2.

Why Rak-Sakyi chose to join Sheffield United over Leeds United
The winger is said to have staged talks with Leeds, but Elland Road officials reckon Rak-Sakyi had already made his decision to join Sheffield United. It might be that Palace have convinced him his future is there.
Reports say Rak-Sakyi chose to join Sheffield United because of assurances from the Blades that he was going to be a regular feature in the starting line-up, and that he is excited to play under manager Wilder.
Leeds then, left to scour the market for other attacking players this summer. Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe continues to be linked with a move to Elland Road but Marseille are providing stiff competition.
