Leeds United have seen a £15m bid rejected for a Premier League winger eyed as a replacement for Crysencio Summerville and now, he’s set to join a Championship rival.
Summerville’s exit saw Daniel Farke start with Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James on the wings on Saturday during the 3-3 draw with Portsmouth at Elland Road, but Leeds have little other options on the flanks.
It comes after Ian Poveda and Jaidon Anthony have also left Yorkshire this summer. What was a well-stocked position in the side is suddenly lacking and Leeds are desperately keen to bring in new wingers.
One player is Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe, but any effort to lure Rowe to Leeds has been rocked by Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille. The Ligue 1 outfit look set to do a deal for the England Under-21 attacker.

Leeds table £15m bid for wide man but it’s set to be rejected
With Rowe set for Marseille, The Sun’s Alan Nixon claims Leeds have tabled a £15m bid to sign Crystal Palace star Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. A player that managed just eight senior outings for Palace last season.
The offer is said to have ‘come out of the blue’ according to Nixon, despite prior Leeds interest. Though, interest from Leeds was believed to be in a loan for the Palace star who impressed on loan at Charlton.
Now it appears Leeds have made a bid worth £15m including an initial fee and add-ons. But Palace are set to rejected the bid for the “magical” star as they want to send him on loan, and keep him long-term.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is set to join rivals Sheffield United
With Leeds having a bid rejected, it is unclear if Farke’s men will make a loan bid for the winger. But it appears it is probably in vain, with rivals Sheffield United set to win the race for Rak-Sakyi’s signature.
Plenty of Championship clubs have been linked and of course, Southampton have tabled £7m and £12m bids. But it looks like Chris Wilder is going to win the race for Rak-Sakyi ahead of the Yorkshire outfit.
