Leeds United have been losing a lot of targets recently, and now one they’ve been tracking for a long time will not be signing.
Although they’ve landed three new exciting players at the club, it has to be said that they’ve missed out on their fair share of deals as well.
Sunderland have been the main culprit of this as they’ve nabbed Leeds targets Habib Diarra and Noah Sadiki.
Leeds wouldn’t match Diarra’s £30m bid, giving them no choice but to accept he won’t be signed and Sadiki is also set for Sunderland.
This will leave Daniel Farke to potentially explore older targets, but they’ll have no luck signing one long-term target who always looked destined for a move to Elland Road.

Leeds United target Bright Osayi-Samuel signs for Birmingham City
Bright Osayi-Samuel has been heavily on Leeds’ radar for a while now with the Nigerian always flirting with the prospect of a move to Yorkshire.
The 27-year-old began his success at QPR where it eventually brought him a move to Fenerbahce.
He impressed in Turkey, and this then caught the eye of Farke as Leeds bid £7m for Osayi-Samuel.
From here it was a case of, will he?, won’t he? and it was looking likely Osayi-Samuel would actually sign for Besiktas.
However, in a dramatic turn of events, the Nigerian won’t be too far from Leeds as expected, with Birmingham City confirming the right-sided player has signed at St. Andrews on a three-year deal.

Leeds United dodge bullet with Osayi-Samuel deal
It wasn’t looking like he would have signed for Leeds this season, but he was seemingly always in the back of Farke’s mind.
And it comes with good reason, as the winger has impressed over in Turkey.
Nevertheless, Birmingham will be his destination, despite Osayi-Samuel wanting Premier League football.
But thankfully, Leeds won’t have to pay the star’s obscene wages, as it was reported that Osayi-Samuel could come with a £7m-a-year cost.
It’s a bullet dodged, but Leeds might end up meeting the 27-year-old soon, going off Birmingham’s current upwards trajectory.
