Leeds United News has learned what chance Daniel Farke has of adding Brentford forward Fabio Carvalho to his squad in the January transfer window.
Daniel Farke is in the market for attacking reinforcements after Leeds failed to bring in another forward in the closing days of the transfer window.
Although Leeds have enjoyed a solid start to life back in the Premier League, they have struggled in front of goal at times, with both Dan James and Willy Gnonto spending time on the sidelines through injury.
Now, Leeds United News transfer expert Graeme Bailey has explained the chances of the Whites landing a deal for Carvalho and handing Farke the extra forward he so wanted in the summer transfer window.

Leeds United’s chances of signing Fabio Carvalho revealed
Speaking exclusively to Leeds United News, Bailey explained the likelihood of Carvalho making a move to Elland Road in the January transfer window.
Leeds were linked with a move for Carvalho in 2024 before the Portuguese forward made a £27 million move to Brentford, having impressed in the Championship with Hull City.
Although Leeds remain in the market for a forward, Bailey believes it is unlikely that he will move to Elland Road in the near future. He explained: “I’ve heard a lot about him.
“I think they will let him go out. I think a move back into Europe and back to Germany is most likely. I don’t see Brentford letting him go to a rival. It’s pretty nonsensical, really.”

Leeds set to raid Championship for attacking reinforcements
While the news that Brentford would be unlikely to sanction Carvalho’s move to Leeds is a blow to their hopes of signing the forward, Bailey has previously explained that Leeds’ attentions will be focused elsewhere.
Leeds are actively monitoring Haji Wright, who has been in impressive form for Coventry City this season as they currently top the Championship table, after winning five in a row under Frank Lampard.
The Whites have also been linked with a move for attacking midfielder Ross Barkley; however, their multiple existing options in midfield make this unlikely, according to Bailey.
Josh Sargent of Norwich is also understood to be on Leeds’ radar, as they look to strengthen their squad for the second half of the season.
