Bayer Leverkusen join Leeds in the Igor Paixao race
Leeds’ interest in Igor Paixao was reported a few weeks ago but fresh interest has since been revealed from one of European football’s most exciting clubs.
Other clubs in Europe are eyeing Paixao, including Ligue 1’s Marseille. There have even been claims that Paixao is open to a move to Elland Road, though.
However, European giants like Arsenal have also registered interest in Paixao and it appears as though another has joined the race.
Now, Erik ten Hag’s Bayer Leverkusen are taking an interest in Paixao following Florian Wirtz’s imminent switch to Liverpool; a move to Leeds is looking less likely by the day.

Leeds would be willing to break their transfer record for Rodrigo Muniz
It’s previously been reported that Leeds have a £150 million transfer budget and a good portion of that will be put towards a Premier League-ready number nine.
Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz is one player they are eyeing after links emerged recently between Leeds and Muniz, with the Brazilian in the last year of his deal at Craven Cottage.
It’s previously been reported that Fulham could want up to £50 million to sell Muniz this summer, which is likely to be out of Leeds’ price range.
That said, Leeds could be willing to break their transfer record to sign him, with the 49ers willing to go to £35 million for Muniz, per the latest reports.

Raphael Onyedika joins Leeds’ shortlist of midfield options
In recent weeks, Leeds have made a move to sign Strasbourg’s Habib Diarra, though the French side are delaying a response to Leeds. Strasbourg are waiting for other clubs to bid for Diarra and increase the fee.
This week, Leeds are said to have made an offer to sign USG’s Noah Sadiki worth £8.5 million. But there could now be an alternative emerging to both players in the coming days.
Graeme Bailey tells us Raphael Onyedika could be an option for Leeds instead. He said: “I’ve been told one name who West Ham like is Onyedika at Club Brugge. Leeds have looked at him as well. They want that type of player — that physicality.
“He’s a very good player and it wouldn’t surprise me either. He’s a threat, West Ham are looking at him as a replacement for Soucek. But he’s one player Leeds are looking at, and Leeds have got loads of options.”
