Leeds United transfer rumours latest, including updates on Bilal El Khannouss, Darko Gyabi, and Daniel Farke’s demands to the 49ers.
The transfer window has just two days remaining for the 49ers and Leeds United, who are running out of time as they look for players in the market and as more transfer news emerges to add to their 10 summer signings.
A busy final day or two of the summer still lies ahead at Leeds as Daniel Farke looks to improve several areas of the side, with the Leeds squad getting closer to completion but also needing to be trimmed via exits as well.
Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach, Lucas Perri, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor, and James Justin have all bolstered Leeds’ ranks in recent months, meaning they have made plenty of progress.
In the meantime, with vital days ahead for the recruitment team and with Farke’s team buoyed by a solid point against Newcastle United, here we have taken a look at some of the latest transfer news and the headlines coming out of the club.

Daniel Farke’s Leeds demands ahead of transfer deadline day
Leeds United have signed 10 new players but speaking after the Newcastle game, Farke insisted that he’s going to target another signing or two ahead of deadline day.
So far this summer, Leeds United have spent £100 million on new players, and whilst Leeds have a much more balanced side, they’re still lacking some creativity and firepower at the top of the pitch.
Farke has made clear he wants a versatile creative player at the least, and since then Farke has doubled down on Leeds needing attacking additions to the 49ers publicly and maybe as many as two more if they are to survive the drop.

Leicester City’s valuation of Leeds target Bilal El Khannouss
One option Leeds have had for some time could be available, as Leicester City are likely to sell Bilal El Khannous in this window after their relegation.
Now, Crystal Palace have pulled out of the race for El Khannouss altogether, albeit Tottenham Hotspur have also had recent El Khannouss interest. However, Spurs’ capture of Xavi Simons should put an end to any talk surrounding Leicester’s playmaker.
Instead, Leeds have reopened El Khannouss talks as their primary target ahead of the transfer deadline, as Leeds United News exclusively revealed. Since then, it has been outlined that El Khannouss will cost Leeds £35 million amid other interest growing.

Darko Gyabi’s Leeds future explained
Numerous players could still exit Leeds before the deadline, which includes players who have never been a part of Farke’s plans in the last three campaigns.
One of those is Darko Gyabi, and the giant midfielder could yet unite with Hull City’s Leeds loanee Joe Gelhardt following an update last night. French and Championship clubs want Gyabi, who is in the final year of his Leeds deal.
Wrexham, Hull City, and Watford want Gyabi. He enjoyed a successful stint with Plymouth Argyle on loan, despite their relegation in 2024/25. Leeds will look to offload him before the window slams shut on Monday.
