Leeds United transfer rumours latest, including updates on Joe Gelhardt, Everton striker Beto, and Bilal El Khannouss.
The transfer window has around five weeks remaining for the 49ers and Leeds United, who are continuing their strong work in the market as more concrete transfer news emerges to add to their seven summer signings.
Only Burnley have been more active in the Premier League so far, but a busy summer still lies ahead at Leeds as Daniel Farke looks to improve several areas of the side, with the Leeds squad getting closer to completion ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.
Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach, and Lucas Perri have all bolstered Leeds’ ranks in recent weeks, meaning they are making plenty of progress but more are still set to follow.
In the meantime, with vital weeks ahead for the recruitment team and with Farke’s team in pre-season ahead of Everton visiting Elland Road, here we have taken a look at some of the latest transfer news and the biggest headlines coming out of the club.

Joe Gelhardt has Rangers interest from 49ers
It’s clear that the 49ers are now working on exits as well as incomings, as Joe Gelhardt is also looking likely to leave West Yorkshire and Leeds are willing to listen to offers for Gelhardt, too.
Gelhardt hinted at leaving Leeds for more regular first-team football during the 2024/25 campaign as well. That is why Don Goodman believes Leeds should sell Gelhardt for the good of his career.
Now, Rangers and the 49ers are thought to want Gelhardt. It’s also said that a transfer fee between £3 million and 4 million is required for Gelhardt to leave Elland Road for another new opportunity.

Everton’s Beto remains a consideration for Leeds
Rodrigo Muniz is Leeds’ top striker target this summer transfer window, but he is not the only centre-forward with serious interest.
Everton’s Beto was first linked to Leeds at the start of the summer window and then Beto and Josh Sargent emerged as Leeds targets more recently.
Although it’s been claimed as ‘difficult to envisage’ Everton sanctioning an exit, the latest information is that Beto remains a consideration for Leeds as they head into the latter stages of the transfer window.

Bilal El Khannouss has other interest but Leeds remain keen
Bilal El Khannouss could replace Brenden Aaronson, as was stated earlier this summer. However, Sunderland are also said to be keen on El Khannouss this summer window.
El Khannouss would cost Leeds around £22 million, due to a release clause in his deal, per some claims. Others believe El Khannouss’ clause is closer to £24.5 million.
What is certain is that El Khannouss is a strong consideration and that many Leeds fans are concerned by El Khannouss talk as well. That’s despite the playmaker’s obvious technical ability.
