Leeds United transfer rumours latest, including updates on Artem Dovbyk as a Rodrigo Muniz alternative, James Justin interest, and a Jon Rowe reveal.
The transfer window has around five weeks remaining for the 49ers and Leeds United, who are continuing their strong work in the market as more concrete transfer news emerges to add to their seven summer signings.
Only Burnley have been more active in the Premier League so far, but a busy summer still lies ahead at Leeds as Daniel Farke looks to improve several areas of the side, with the Leeds squad getting closer to completion ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.
Lukas Nmecha, Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sean Longstaff, Anton Stach, and Lucas Perri have all bolstered Leeds’ ranks in recent weeks, meaning they are making plenty of progress but more are still set to follow.
In the meantime, with vital weeks ahead for the recruitment team and with Farke’s team in pre-season ahead of Everton visiting Elland Road, here we have taken a look at some of the latest transfer news and the biggest headlines coming out of the club.

James Justin emerges as a full-back target for Leeds
With Isaac Schmidt allowed to head on loan to Werder Bremen if Farke is handed a replacement, full-back talk has been a topic of conversation behind the scenes and within the fanbase.
A Leeds United News exclusive revealed the 49ers want to add in at least one full-back, but James Justin of Leicester is on Leeds’ radar. The 27-year-old has a wealth of Premier League and Championship experience.
That’s why Leeds fans already like the idea of Justin, especially considering his versatility and comfort in operating on both sides, and the fact he would provide depth for both Gabriel Gudmundsson and Jayden Bogle.

Long-term Leeds target Jon Rowe has new price tag
Last summer, Leeds prioritised a deal for Jon Rowe. The England U-21 star dazzled for Norwich City in 2023/24, and Farke wanted to raid his old side for the attacker. However, he chose to join Marseille.
After a difficult season in which he lacked game time due to fitness, Rowe has been linked with a move to Leeds again. With a cross now next to Igor Paixao’s name, Leeds will be looking at their shortlist of options.
Leeds held talks for Rowe in 2024, but the former Norwich ace is now worth more than a year ago, in spite of an injury-hit season. Marseille want £17 million for Rowe after swiping Paixao from under Leeds’ nose.

Leeds have an interest in AS Roma striker Artem Dovbyk
Lukas Nmecha is the only attacking addition thus far, but Leeds were always planning to sign a first-choice striker ahead of the German centre-forward. Rodrigo Muniz has been the no.1 target, but Fulham want as much as £50 million for Muniz.
Leeds may well have to look elsewhere unless their view of his valuation softens. The 28-year-old Ukrainian Artem Dovbyk has only been with AS Roma for one season, but he could now be in line for an exit.
Leeds have now been linked to Dovbyk, and he could prove to be a much cheaper alternative to Muniz. Over the last two seasons, Dovbyk has scored 41 goals at club level for Roma and Girona. He also has 15 goals and assists in 36 games for Ukraine.
