Leeds United transfer rumours latest, including updates on Illan Meslier, Rodrigo Muniz, and central defender Jaka Bijol.

The transfer window officially opened in recent days and things are heating up regarding transfer news and rumours with every passing day of the window for Leeds United.

A busy summer is expected at Leeds as Daniel Farke is aiming to improve several areas of the side that finished on 100 points, with the Leeds squad far from ready ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League.

In the meantime, with a huge few months ahead for Farke and the Leeds hierarchy, here we have taken a look at some of the latest transfer news and the biggest headlines coming out of the club.

Rodrigo Muniz could make a switch from Fulham to Leeds

A name just now appearing on the radar of Daniel Farke and the 49ers is that of Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz.

Despite the Brazilian appearing to be an interesting and sensible target to go for, Fulham have set a £50 million price tag on Muniz’s signature.

Adding to this, Alan Shearer said Muniz is ‘horrible’ to play against, as Farke could prefer the striker’s energy and intensity when it’s needed most.

Muniz even does one thing better than Erling Haaland, but his profile of centre-forward appears to be exactly what Leeds need, even if they are priced out of signing the 24-year-old.

Jaka Bijol emerges as a transfer target of Leeds

Our Leeds dream XI included Jaka Bijol for when the window eventually closes in August. Now, the Udinese defender has emerged as a genuine target.

Bijol was suggested as a Leeds transfer target, and with Leeds wanting four priority signings, which are a goalkeeper, a centre-back, a central midfielder, and a striker, Bijol made sense as one.

Links between Leeds and Bijol have now materialised in a tangible sense, but there is competition for his signature from other Serie A clubs.

That includes AS Roma and AC Milan, so this could be a complicated deal for the club to complete for the 62-cap Slovenia international.

Illan Meslier is a target for Liam Rosenior’s Strasbourg

Illan Meslier will not be a Leeds player by the time the window closes, which will end his six-year association with the club.

Leeds are reportedly offering Meslier to other clubs and an exit edges closer by the day for the Frenchman with just a year left on his Elland Road contract.

There is a situation where Leeds retain Meslier but news of interest has ramped up of late, and he could be moving back to Ligue 1 for a fresh start.

That is because Strasbourg are now keen on Meslier, with interest mounting in the 25-year-old and a deal should be struck with someone from his home country at some stage in the future.
