The international break has sprung up few surprises so far. But one player linked with Leeds United managed to make history during the break.
The two week break came at a good time for Leeds United who’ve definitely experienced something of a blip in recent weeks.
Daniel Farke’s side remain in 1st place of the Championship table but are sharing the top spot with Sheffield United, after Leeds’ 2-2 draw at QPR before the break.
It’s now just one win in four for Leeds who went 17 games unbeaten in the Championship before losing 1-0 at Portsmouth earlier in March, and now many are wondering if Leeds might have to settle for the play-offs once again with Burnley in 3rd just two points behind.
But promotion remains the likelihood for Leeds this season, and that’ll surely spark a busy and potentially very expensive summer window for the Whites who might turn to some of their January transfer targets for reinforcements. One such player could be Ben Davies.

Ben Davies breaks nine-year Gareth Bale record with Wales
Leeds United wanted to sign Davies during the January transfer window. But the Spurs and Wales defender remains in North London where he sees his contract expire this summer, and with no immediate sign of a possible renewal for the 31-year-old who Spurs signed from Swansea City for £10million in 2014.
He’s since made a staggering 350 total appearances for Spurs, also adding to his now 93 caps for Wales in this March international break. Davies actually scored and assisted in the most recent 3-1 win over Kazakhstan in a World Cup qualifier, making history in the process as well.
Davies, who WalesOnline lauded as ‘marvellous’ during the game, became the first Wales player to score and assist in a World Cup qualifier since iconic Welshman Gareth Bale did so back in 2016.

Ben Davies is already very good friends with one Leeds United player
In their last outing, Davies started alongside Leeds United centre-back Joe Rodon at centre-back. The pair are actually long-term friends and have spoken about their friendship on many occasions.
And speaking after the win over Kazakhstan, Davies spoke about his friendship with Rodon once again, having this to say: “We’re very close, when we get the chance to play with each other we feel really happy. Joe’s a terrific player, I think he’s showing how good he is now after getting a run of games at Leeds.”
For Farke, Davies could be the perfect signing in the summer; not only because of his relationship with Rodon, who’s the first-choice centre-back, but because options are so light in that position too. Not to mention as well Pascal Struijk’s patchy record when it comes to injury.
