The latest Leeds United transfer rumours and updates, including news on Caoimhin Kelleher, Aaron Cresswell and Daniel Peretz.

It won’t be long now until the summer transfer window opens wide and Leeds United can start conducting their business.

Leeds discovered that Sunderland will be the team joining them and Burnley in the Premier League, after the Black Cats came back from behind to defeat Sheffield United in the Play-off final on Saturday.

That may increase speculation surrounding a possible Gustavo Hamer to Leeds transfer, while Daniel Farke could do worse than Michael Cooper to solve his goalkeeper problem.

But those two are not included in the latest Leeds transfer news.

Illan Meslier’s disastrous form may have spelled the end for him at Elland Road, with Leeds looking for a new goalkeeper this summer.

Liverpool shot stopper Caoimhin Kelleher has emerged as the most exciting option and the Irishman has hinted he may leave Liverpool.

Kelleher has filled in admirably whenever Alisson has been injured this past season but remains firmly behind him in the pecking order. With Giorgi Mamardashvili arriving at Anfield, that’s only going to get worse.

Speaking to Optus Sport’s TikTok on the final day, Kelleher has made it clear he wants to be a No.1.

He said: “I feel like I’m a number one and good enough to play week-in, week-out. And that’s what I’m looking to do.”

He’ll have to leave to do so and that may play into Leeds’ advantage.

With Junior Firpo’s future looking elsewhere and Sam Byram’s still uncertain, Leeds will likely have to sign at least two left-backs this summer.

The latest to be linked with a Leeds move is Premier League veteran Aaron Cresswell, who will be a free agent following his release from West Ham.

Alan Nixon reports on his Patreon channel that Leeds are keen on Cresswell as a squad option but face competition from the ambitious Wrexham upon their promotion to the Championship.

Bayern Munich’s Daniel Peretz is the latest goalkeeper Leeds have been linked with.

German publication Bild reports Leeds are in talks with Bayern to sign Peretz on a possible loan deal.

The highly-rated Peretz has ambitions of being the No.1 in Munich but has work to do first. Burnley and Genoa are both said to be interested as well, while PSV Eindhoven are the favourites.
