The transfer window is beginning to heat up as Leeds United wait for the Premier League campaign to come to a close before being able to bring in their top targets.
Paraag Marathe, Daniel Farke, Adam Underwood, Robbie Evans and the rest of the decision makers at Leeds United have clearly identified the need for new signings to have Premier League experience.
Plenty have already been linked. Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff, West Ham’s Vladimir Coufal, Everton star Beto and plenty of other current top-flight players have been linked with moves to Leeds recently.
In one instance, Leeds are also looking to bring in two players from the current Premier League winners. Liverpool are expected to have a busy summer, having only made one signing in the 2024 window.

Leeds planning to raid Liverpool for two players in £40m deal
Leeds are expected to wave goodbye to a handful of first-team players, with Junior Firpo and Illan Meslier at the top of the list. Firpo is out of contract and Phil Hay says Meslier is done as a Leeds United player.
It means Leeds need a new goalkeeper and a new left-back. At Liverpool, Konstantinos Tsimikas and also Caoimhin Kelleher have been linked with moves to Elland Road this summer, Tsimikas linked this week.
TeamTalk now say Leeds are planning a £40m double deal to sign both Kelleher and Tsimikas, with The Whites keen to keep it at £40m and not go above that figure. Liverpool want £15m for Tsimikas alone.

Two crucial additions – but is £40m too steep for Leeds to pay?
There has been talk that Leeds have a transfer kitty of £100m or more. Leeds need improvements all over the park, not just in goal or a left-back. A midfielder, a winger, an attacking midfielder and a new striker.
So, to splash almost half of a potential transfer kitty on just two of the numerous additions Leeds need to make this summer, is expensive. Whether Leeds push ahead and spend £40m on the duo, is unclear.
But if they do, it possibly means that Leeds will have to make savings on other areas of the pitch and given the quality of the Premier League, savings are not something that ironically, Leeds can afford.
