One player who is already on Leeds United’s transfer radar is dreaming of a move to England one day in the future.
The Premier League remains the best league in world. And Leeds United are trying desperately to get back there following their 2023 relegation.
Daniel Farke has the Whites well on track to challenge for promotion this season, with Leeds United’s Boxing Day win against Stoke City leaving them in 1st place of the Championship table.
But Leeds United have been tipped to be quiet in January and to not make too many drastic changes to their squad. That’s not stopped the rumour mill from linking players with moves to and from Elland Road though.
We could see a change up in the goalkeeper department with Illan Meslier wanted by Arsenal and Manchester United, and Swedish goalkeeper Noel Tornqvist linked with a move to Leeds.
The Whites were previously linked with Mjällby AIF goalkeeper Tornqvist back in 2023 with recent reports stating that Leeds are interested once again.

Noel Tornqvist dreaming of England move as Leeds United reignite interest
Speaking previously, Tornqvist revealed that he’s dreaming of a move to England one day, to play in the Premier League.
Speaking to Swedish outlet Fotbollskanalen in 2023, the 22-year-old shot-stopper said when asked where his dream destination would be: “It’s probably the Premier League and English football.
“You always remember when you were smaller with Saturdays at 4pm. You might have had a match of your own in the morning, then you met some friends and watched English football. So, England is the dream destination.”
Interestingly, it’s also claimed that Tornqvist could be available for as little as £1.1million in the upcoming January transfer window.

Illan Meslier giving Leeds United plenty of food for thought
Leeds fans have very mixed pinions about Meslier. But against Stoke on Boxing Day, the Frenchman pulled off a couple of good saves.
And after the game, Meslier earned praise from Stoke City boss Narcis Pelach, as well as Farke, so he’s certainly giving the owners a lot to think about amid growing interest in his services.
Tornqvist would certainly need time to get up to speed in England and to get to the level that Meslier has shown he can play at.
But at £1.1million, and with Tornqvist keen on a move to England, it could be a shrewd January signing for Leeds to make with a view to the future.
