Leeds United’s saga with Mergim Berisha has continued throughout the window but now his capture might be out of Daniel Farke’s hands.
Berisha has been linked with Leeds for what seems like the entire transfer window so far.
Leeds’ pursuit for the German striker could’ve been heightened after Berisha hasn’t been involved with Hoffenheim with his exit from the Bundesliga looking very likely.
It’s become a situation where Leeds doesn’t know the striker’s plans and Farke himself probably doesn’t know which way he wants to go with the transfer.
That being said a new update has emerged that could put Berisha choosing Leeds to bed.

Augsburg start talks with Leeds United transfer target Mergim Berisha
Berisha has been in fairly high demand as Hoffenheim could see the strange scenario of letting Berisha leave on a one-and-a-half-year loan which may not interest Farke in the first place.
If Leeds are desperate for a striker to come in, Berisha may now be off the table after the latest update.
Journalist, Florian Plettenberg, has said Augsburg are now considering a transfer for Berisha and talks have started.
The German is expected to leave by the deadline of the window on February 3rd.

Berisha blow could open other opportunities elsewhere for Leeds
Leeds’ pursuit of Berisha has never really seemed concrete as the German is likely to favour a move to a Bundesliga side.
However, following Leeds’ 1-0 win against Harrogate, Farke may still be keen on the opportunity for a striker.
Mateo Joseph was wasteful with his chances and Joseph showed frustration against Hull City in the past to add to his concerns in front of goal.
Joel Piroe has done well this season, but Farke may want competition for the Dutchman, and a striker has been labeled as needed at Leeds.
Farke has said he’s happy with Piroe and Joseph but will they be enough for Leeds to gain promotion.
