Leeds United are still in for a new number nine that the 49ers are desperately craving, and a shock name has risen to the surface.
After already signing a striker in Lukas Nmecha this season, Leeds are still after another forward option.
The main priority that Daniel Farke is seeking is Rodrigo Muniz, who could be looking for a better challenge away from Fulham.
Muniz has remained Leeds’ top target for a new striker, but it’s proving difficult with Fulham’s demands.
The Cottagers are not settling for any less as Fulham want £43.5 million, and this could steer the Whites’ attention away, with Leeds fans listing a shock name as a candidate.

Leeds United fans all agree that Rasmus Hojlund should be signed
After Leeds’ £26m bid for Muniz was rejected, it’s quite clear that there is a large separation between what the Peacocks want to pay and what their fellow Premier League side want.
The Brazilian is an exciting target, but is proving to be on the more expensive side.
This has led fans on X to suggest a striker who is still ambitious but could be more affordable, as Man United’s Rasmus Hojlund is the centre of the discussion, with the Red Devils exploring a move for Benjamin Sesko.
After Leeds were linked to Hojlund, this isn’t the most ridiculous suggestion in the world, as one fan said: “Leeds should be chucking a few quid at Hojlund. Perfect striker for Daniel Farke and one that wouldn’t be against leaving Manchester United if they signed Sesko. Don’t see why we can’t give it a shot?,” another added: “I would take Hojlund at Leeds.”
The Dane has been set with a sustainable asking price that would work for Leeds, as one Whites supporter said: “For 30m he’d be a steal,” another agreed, saying, “He’s not bad if he’s in our team, he’ll have less pressure, he wasn’t this bad at Atalanta.”
Another fan suggested that if their main target didn’t sign, this would be the way to go, as they said: “If Muniz doesn’t happen, we will happily take your main striker,” as this was followed up with a clever idea: “Loan with option to buy if we stay up would be smart business…”
For the £30 million that has been set, this fits into Leeds’ priority position plan, as they would be willing to pay that for a striker, as opposed to the large fee stated for Muniz.

Rasmus Hojlund joining Leeds United won’t fit the 49ers strategy
Although signing a Man United flop and having the potential to make him a success is tempting, it doesn’t seem like Leeds would steer this way.
Not to mention the risk factor already with the 22-year-old’s poor form, but there is another element at play.

Hojlund is likely to come with a wage that would top the Whites’ salary bill, which might not be the direction the Leeds owners want to head in.
For now, Patrick Bamford’s £70k-a-week wage remains the highest, and it’s unlikely the 49ers will want to go any higher, continuing their sustainable strategy.
Leeds already rejected Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s wage demand, and if talks for Hojlund arose, the same problem would probably occur.
