Leeds United now face a race against time to complete four signings before the end of the window but talks are underway over a permanent deal for a new winger.
Winger is one of four positions Leeds are looking to strengthen before the August 30 deadline with Daniel Farke having twice gone on the record publicly about his desire for new players.
Leeds are in the market for two new attacking players following the exits of Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, who have left behind a total of 50 Championship goal contributions.
Given the money they have received for both players, Leeds are going to have to bring in some serious quality to replace them in order to get fans back onside.
Supporters have grown more and more impatient regarding both the lack of transfer activity, and lack of communication from those at boardroom level.

Leeds in talks to sign Burnley’s Manuel Benson
Winger is quite clearly an incredibly important position to get right in the next week and a half, and there have been links to a number of players.
Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe is one of them, though he looks set for a move to Marseille. Sunderland’s Jack Clarke is another, but he is expensive and has Premier League interest.
UD Almeria’s Largie Ramazani and Burnley’s Manuel Benson are another two, and according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, progress is being made on the latter.
Tavolieri, who is extremely reliable when it comes to reporting on Belgian players, has reported that Leeds hold a huge interest in signing the ‘electric‘ Benson.
It is said talks are already underway between the two clubs over a permanent transfer, with it highly likely he will be leaving Burnley after being an unused substitute in the first two matches.
Sunderland and Norwich are also keen on a move for Benson, though it would appear Leeds are in the driving seat right now.
Daniel Farke a fan of Benson ‘creativity’
Journalist Ben Jacobs shared an update on Benson over the weekend and explained exactly why Farke is keen to sign him after losing both Summerville and Rutter.
As mentioned, Leeds have lost the majority of their goal threat in Summerville and Rutter and so according to Jacobs, Farke sees Benson as someone who can add both goals and creativity to his side.
He said: “Manuel Benson is still there as well. The Burnley winger on Leeds’ radar too. And Daniel Farke would like a little bit more creativity and somebody that can provide regular goal contributions.
“So Benson is another possibility. And if they want Benson, they’ll maybe find themselves up against Norwich as well, because if Jonathan Rowe goes, they will probably enter that race as well.”
