Leeds United are going to have to find some marquee arrivals to get fans back onside for the season ahead.
Daniel Farke has seen the core of his 2023/24 squad ripped apart over the course of the summer and movement to replace them has been incredibly slow.
Georginio Rutter is set to become high profile exit number four of the window imminently, having passed a medical at Brighton & Hove Albion this morning.
Rutter is following Archie Gray, Glen Kamara and Crysencio Summerville in leaving Elland Road, leaving Leeds with an awful lot of work to do in the final 13 days of the window.
Farke has made it clear to the 49ers exactly what he wants, and a failure to deliver could already have them on the back foot in terms of their ownership.

Leeds eyeing move for Sunderland’s Jack Clarke
There are only a handful of players within Leeds’ price range who could replace what Summerville and Rutter offered in attack last season.
The two young stars contributed to a total of 50 league goals in 2023/24, with both among the very best players in the Championship.
Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe and Burnley’s Manuel Benson are thought to be two names on Leeds’ shortlist, but the latest name to be linked by Daily Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath could be the best yet.
McGrath has this morning reported on his Twitter account that Leeds are ‘well aware’ of Sunderland’s Jack Clarke as a potential option, labelling him as ‘one to watch’ between now and the end of the window.
However, McGrath did suggest there is also Premier League interest in the former Leeds academy graduate, with Wolves and Ipswich Town among those linked.
Sunderland are expected to demand a fee of similar to what Leeds sold Summerville for, which is around £25 million.
Clarke would help get Leeds fans back onside
Over the last couple of seasons, Clarke has proven himself to be one of the best wingers in the Championship.
In fact, you could argue that only Summerville was better than him last term, and that was playing in a considerably worse team with Sunderland.
He scored 15 goals last season and completed the most number of successful dribbles per game than anyone else in the division with 3.7.
It is going to take a big money signing like Clarke to get fans believing the 49ers are at Leeds for the right reasons, considering the talent they have let go.
