Daniel Farke almost got everything he wanted in terms of signings at Leeds United in the final week of the window.
Initially, Farke was keen on four new additions which is exactly what he got, but made it clear another number 10 was also on his wishlist.
Largie Ramazani, Manor Solomon, Ao Tanaka and Isaac Schmidt all made the move to Elland Road in the final eight days of the window and that business does mean Leeds have one of the strongest squads in the division again.
Late on deadline day, Schmidt was the eighth and final signing of the window and perhaps the biggest unknown in terms of what he will offer.
Schmidt joined from FC St Gallen despite having played and scored for the Swiss side just 24 hours earlier in a Europa Conference League play-off final at Trabzonspor.

Schmidt shares details of Farke chat
Schmidt certainly faces a fight on his hands to establish himself as a regular at Leeds with plenty of competition for those two full-back roles.
Junior Firpo and Jayden Bogle are currently the first choice pairing and so Schmidt will join Sam Byram in providing cover and competition.
It will certainly be interesting to see where Schmidt stands in the pecking order against Byram, and surely he will have known that before signing.
With that in mind, Farke will have no doubt had to prove to Schmidt how his opportunities to play will look this season.
And that was something he was asked in his first interview with Leeds United’s YouTube channel, as Schmidt revealed what he was told by the manager ahead of signing him.
He said: “He told me he is happy to have me and trusting me, and that we will make big things together.”
Schmidt already knows Wilfried Gnonto well
Schmidt was asked about Leeds star Gnonto, with the 20-year-old having played in the Swiss Super League against his new Whites teammate. Gnonto was at FC Zurich, before his move to Leeds in August 2022.
Schmidt is understandably delighted to be on the same team as the Italian, with one of his two red cards in 108 games for St. Gallen coming against Zurich, for a foul on Gnonto.
He said: “I’ve played against him when he was at Zurich. I am happy to be in the same team as him now, because he was really good. Too fast, I got a red card because of him. It’s better as teammates.”
