Fulham, Rodrigo Muniz, and Leeds United is the transfer saga dominating the headlines at Elland Road currently.
Leeds United have Lukas Nmecha and Joel Piroe as their primary strikers currently, with Mateo Joseph facing an uncertain future and Patrick Bamford not a part of Daniel Farke’s plans.
That is why Rodrigo Muniz is Leeds’ top striker target of the summer transfer window. However, Leeds saw a £32 million bid rejected for Muniz at the beginning of the window and a move does not appear close to completion imminently.
It’s very possible that a club-record fee from Leeds is needed to sign Muniz. Even if there has been positive progress over a deal for Muniz made in recent weeks, with Muniz to Leeds supposedly moving forwards via some reports.

Fulham supporters begin to panic over Rodrigo Muniz
The most recent spanner in the works for Leeds is that Serie A outfit Atalanta BC also eyeing Muniz. The competition is such that Leeds’ top target will not be an easy deal to complete during the final 26 days of the window.
Atalanta were said to be pushing harder to sign Muniz, with representatives meeting with Fulham. However, there has been a sliver of good news of late.
That is because those talks with the Cottagers have not seemingly gone well, with other reports stating Atalanta have been put off by Fulham’s asking price of Muniz.
That doesn’t guarantee that Leeds are frontrunners now, but Fulham fans are growing increasingly agitated at the fact Muniz has not signed a new deal and with reports of transfer interest continuing to mount.
One fan on Twitter/X said: “I can understand selling Muniz if he’s refusing to sign a new deal, or, we’re getting anything north of 40M for the lad, but to sell now with only 10 days until the start of the new season is complete and utter suicide. Lets hope Fulham have a plan B #ffc”
Another said: “Feel let down by FFC buy a season ticket then this. No signings no deal for Harry or Muniz. Unhappy manager will now leave next year. No explanation no communication. Dreading this season before it starts. Have the Khan’s learned nothing. Support Marco @FulhamFC @FulhamTransfer”
A further response read: “It’s a tough one with Muniz, but the club can’t let him enter his final year of his contract. Would be a travesty to eventually lose him on a free. If he won’t sign a new deal, getting good money for him now makes sense. #ffc”
It’s fair to say that Fulham supporters are mostly in agreement regarding retaining Muniz, but that all of them simply want a resolution to whether he is staying or going as quickly as possible.

Rodrigo Muniz’s remarkable statistical data in 2024/25
Muniz’s record for Premier League strikers’ goals per 90 in 2024/25 is a remarkable 0.63, which places him just behind Alexander Isak and is why Muniz has drawn comparisons to Erling Haaland.
He was also prolific as a starter or substitute, though, as Scouted Football’s Ashwin Raman has outlined in the post on Twitter/X below.
He states that Muniz is an interesting case and that it’s easy to be excited by his per 90 statistics, but it’s clear how much his general stats are skewed by his sub appearances. But also that, nonetheless, his stats as a starter are very good.
