Leeds United have several names on their transfer radar ahead of the summer, one being Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn.

But Leeds United and Daniel Farke may take a step back from plans for their upcoming summer transfer window after a couple of disappointing results in the Championship has allowed Sheffield United to draw level on points.

Beforehand, Leeds United were being linked with several players ahead of what most assumed, and may still assume to be a busy summer transfer window, in preparation for the Premier League.

Though on Sunday, Leeds United lost 1-0 at Portsmouth in what was a stark reminder to the 49ers and everyone at Elland Road that the job is far form finished in the Championship this season.

Leeds fans may well be fearing another play-off bout after seeing the Blades move level on 76 points, with Burnley in 3rd on 74 and Sunderland in 4th on 68, with all three picking up wins over the weekend as Leeds lost.

One of the players who Leeds could target as part of a potential Premier League window is Celtic’s Nicolas Kuhn, who is described as ‘outstanding’ by pundit Carlton Palmer. The 25-year-old former Ajax and Bayern Munich winger has blown away his competitors in 2024/25, with an incredible 31 goals and assists so far (18 goals and 13 assists in all competitions).

But speaking on his future, Kuhn has made it quite clear that he’s not looking to leave Celtic Park anytime soon. Speaking to Sunder Mirror recently [print edition, pg. 46], Kuhn said: “When I signed here, I said the challenge was to win everything. And so far, it has been really great to be here, I’ve really liked it.

“Hopefully, there will be some more trophies to come this season. And my contract here runs until 2029, so I’m very much looking forward to what is ahead.”

Leeds United have one winger firmly in their sights

Kuhn is hot property right now having interest from across England and Europe, so it remains an ambitious move for Leeds United, albeit an exciting one still.

But with the German looking set to stay in Scotland, Leeds may put even more emphasis on a summer deal for Spurs loan star Manor Solomon.

Leeds United face competition in the race for Solomon though with Southampton and Everton reportedly interested in a potential move for the Israeli, who looks set to leave Spurs amid a summer shakeup in North London.

Leeds return to Championship at home to Millwall on Wednesday night, with Sheffield United and Burnley playing Bristol City and West Brom respectively on Tuesday night.
