Leeds United have emerged as strong contenders to sign Everton striker Beto this transfer window.
Daniel Farke and the 49ers will want to get off to an early start in terms of securing signings for the Premier League season.
It’s been clear since February that the 49ers want Premier League targets, and they’re ensuring this with the arrival of Beto.
Recently, it’s become clear that Leeds are keen on Beto, as the hierarchy are looking to put their £100m transfer kitty to good use.
Well before the murmurs from Leeds on the Toffees striker came to the surface, the 27-year-old had his say on his future.

Beto speaks out on future amid Leeds United links
With the transfer window not opening until June 14th, fans might be wary on the speculation that gets thrown about.
But with Beto, it’s certainly plausible as not only will Everton themselves be looking at a new striker, David Moyes is open to selling Beto.
The only way this could be made clearer is by hearing from the player himself, and the striker has already done exactly that.
Speaking to Everton’s club media, Beto has made his feelings clear on the prospect of a move to Elland Road.
After the penultimate game at Goodison Park, he’s shown his admiration for the club.
“Wow. (The display and atmosphere) was beautiful, honestly. I feel blessed and very grateful to be here and play for Everton,” Beto said.
“I am fighting. I am fighting with myself to be more consistent – sometimes I do good games, sometimes I do bad, but I want to keep the trajectory going up, or at least stable at a good level.
“This is football, you know, it’s a hard game – but I’m happy. I’m happy to fight, to try to prove myself every day. I will never stop.”
Beto’s end-of-season form shows he could be useful to Leeds
Even though the striker claims he is happy at Everton, with the chance Moyes could bring a new striker, this is sure to ruffle some feathers.
With that considered, it gives more reason why the striker could opt for a switch to Yorkshire.
Leeds are also interested in Jamie Vardy, but taking age and current form into account, Beto trumps the experienced forward.
| Beto’s Premier League statistics in February for Everton | |
| Everton 4-0 Leicester | Two goals – Match Rating: 8.7 |
| Everton 2-2 Liverpool | One goal – Match Rating: 7.4 |
| Crystal Palace 1-2 Everton | One goal – Match Rating: 8.3 |
| Everton 2-2 Man United | One goal – Match Rating: 6.9 |
It seems like the ownership is fitting a certain criteria when it comes to transfers at Leeds this summer, and Beto could be a signing that would please fans.
The jury is still out on whether this signing is possible, but Beto’s admiration for Everton is the only thing standing in Farke’s way.
