After Sean Longstaff, it’s expected that Anton Stach will be Leeds United’s next signing.
With the 49ers now proving their worth in this transfer window, Daniel Farke is getting his midfield wish.
It was expected that both Longstaff and Stach could join for £29m, but with the Newcastle United midfielder set to complete a £15m deal, this is likely to exceed that amount.
The situation isn’t exactly what the Leeds hierarchy wanted, but it’s the one they’ve been dealt.
Now, it’s certainly the best outcome, as there is a twist in the tale of Stach’s future.

Leeds United target Anton Stach has twist out of nowhere
Stach is expected to be the stalwart midfielder Farke is after in the Premier League, as the Whites can land their own Rodri or Declan Rice.
A player like this is valuable, as Stach not only possesses the defensive traits needed, but his passing is also top-notch.
Stach moves Leeds fans, and he would arguably be the most ambitious buy of the window so far, and it’s likely he’ll be the most expensive with a £17m+ price tag.
It seems good value for money, but now Leeds have a late scare in the form of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Besiktas.
Major Turkish outlet, A Spor, claims that Besiktas are looking at Stach as a new ‘candidate’ for a defensive midfielder.
It’s been made clear that Solskjaer’s side have started ‘cost investigations’ for the 26-year-old, as the Turkish giants could match that £17m fee.

The 49ers have the ball in their court for Stach’s Leeds move
It’s quite clear this might only be a little scare from Turkey as Stach has already signed personal terms.
This means that the player can’t exactly back out of the deal, where it’s now just up to the 49ers to agree on a deal for the midfielder.
Talks continue to take place for Stach, and you’d expect the overall transfer to be completed by next week.
Longstaff is soon to be confirmed, and Stach will soon follow, and he already has experience flourishing against sides from England (2:00).
But if the move does break down, that will be down to the owners who have already agreed terms as mentioned, meaning there could be a lot of backlash if Besiktas somehow manage to pull this off.
