Leeds United are reportedly keen on signing a player who’s played under Daniel Farke before, with a £10million transfer fee required to bring him to Elland Road.
Leeds United are ready to spend some money in the January transfer window, so it seems, with a growing number of players being linked with moves to West Yorkshire.
The winter window opens for business in less than 24 hours. And ahead of the New Year, there’s been a staggering 19 players linked with January moves to Leeds United.
Some names are from overseas, some from England, and some look more likely to sign than others, with one report even claiming that Leeds United have tabled a bid for RC Lens’ Abdukodir Khusanov.
Meanwhile, players are being linked with moves away from Leeds too, one being Pascal Struijk who’s a target for Tottenham Hotspur.
Should the Dutchman leave then he’d certainly need replacing. And Farke may yet sign one of his former players to replace Struijk.

Leeds United set sights on Borussia Monchengladbach star Nico Elvedi
An emerging report from GIVEMSPORT has revealed that Leeds United are keen on Borussia Monchengladbach centre-back Nico Elvedi.
The 56-cap Swiss international, who can pay at centre-back and right-back, was managed by Farke during his time managing Monchengladbach during the 2022/23 season.
GIVEMSPORT say that Leeds are keen on signing a new centre-back in January and that they’re ‘strongly considering’ a move for Elvedi ahead of the New Year.
The same report adds that the 28-year-old ‘has been made available for up to £10million’, with his current contract not set to expire until the summer of 2027.

Transfer expert reveals Leeds United’s stance on Pascal Struijk exit
Losing Struijk would certainly be a blow for Leeds who are already very light on numbers in the centre-back position.
But speaking to Leeds United News, transfer expert Graeme Bailey revealed that Leeds intend on keeping Struijk, as well as in demand goalkeeper Illan Meslier, and will only sell if a replacement is brought in.
Bailey revealed: “The likes of Meslier and Struijk have interest but they are firmly part of the promotion push.
“If Leeds did move someone on, it would only be in mind that they have someone else coming.”
Elvedi then could be the catalyst for someone like Struijk to leave. But Farke will want to make sure that whoever comes in, should anyone come in at all, would be an upgrade on what Leeds already have.
