What next for Leeds United in the transfer market as Largie Ramazani ends 32-day wait for a signing

Leeds United have officially confirmed the signing of Largie Ramazani from UD Almeria in what could be the first of four signings in eight days.

Ramazani is expected to be the catalyst for a major Elland Road recruitment drive before the end of the window, in which another three new arrivals are wanted.

The 23-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a four-year-deal at Leeds and could end up costing just under £10 million providing all add-ons are met.

The young Belgian winger is the first of the replacements for the big two departures at Leeds this month, as he is expected to fill the void left by Crysencio Summerville.

However, it is important Leeds do not ease up in their quest for new signings and so LeedsUnited.News have taken a look at what could be next.

What next for Leeds in the last week of the window

As mentioned, there are three more positions in which Leeds are looking to strengthen after Ramazani. They are full-back, central midfield and attack.

Cover at left-back for Junior Firpo appears to be what Leeds are wanting with Premier League loans a market of interest, presumably to save money for the more important positions.

Hugo Bueno is someone who was looked at until his move to Feyenoord, while Liverpool’s Owen Beck has been linked more recently, and could fit the bill.

Moving further up the pitch, an attack-minded box-to-box midfielder is on the agenda as the search for Glen Kamara’s successor continues.

Leeds saw a bid of £3.3 million rejected for FC Koln’s Dejan Ljubicic in July, and it would not be a surprise if they ended up returning late on, as he is reportedly keen on the move.

Manchester United’s Hannibal Mejbri has also emerged as an option this week, though there is competition from potential promotion rivals Burnley.

The final – and arguably most important position Leeds are still hunting for reinforcements – is attacking midfield and a replacement for Georginio Rutter.

Daniel Farke practically built his system around Rutter last season and according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Leeds are wanting a left-footed player to match what they have lost in the Frenchman.

Roland Sallai, Ilan Kebbal and Manuel Benson are all players being looked at who fit the bill, while Tottenham’s Manor Solomon is as an option too, though he is right-footed.

Could there be any exits from Leeds in the next eight days?

There have been a couple of reports in the last 24 hours that Wilfried Gnonto is still pushing to leave the club.

Leeds have reportedly ruled out Gnonto’s sale after Rutter’s exit, but if he kicks up too much of a fuss behind-the-scenes, they may be forced to let him go.

Despite Farke’s insistence on Max Wober’s commitment to Leeds, it still would not be a surprise if he made a late exit.

Wober will not be happy playing second fiddle behind Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk, while Borussia Monchengladbach director Roland Virkus has not ruled out a move for their former loanee.

Joe Gelhardt is also a player who could do with a loan as he is now at the stage of his career where he simply has to go and play regularly.
