Leeds United take on Everton in the Premier League on Monday night. For Daniel Farke, it’s a huge game.
Despite Leeds United winning the Championship title last season, there were doubts over manager Daniel Farke going into this summer.
Reports had claimed that Farke was facing the sack at Leeds United. But the 49ers have stuck with the German who has so far signed eight new players ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
On Friday, Leeds United confirmed the signing of Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer and Farke will be hoping that the former Everton man scores the goals to keep him in the job at Elland Road.
Everton will prove tough opponents on Monday. But a positive performance and even a win could give Leeds all the momentum they need to make a strong start to the campaign.

Leeds United team news vs Everton
Leeds look set to be without Jayden Bogle for the game on Monday. Bogle has been suffering with a hip flexor injury and missed the last pre-season friendly against AC Milan. Speaking on Friday, Farke said it will be a late call on whether or not Bogle features against Everton.
Elsewhere, Sebastiaan Bornauw remains sidelined but has returned to training this week. Fellow summer signing and fellow centre-back Jaka Bijol is the only other guaranteed absentee on Monday with the Slovenian suspended.

Predicted Leeds United lineup vs Everton, Isaac Schmidt makes first league start
Farke looks set to hand debuts to a number of his summer signings this weekend. But the game against Everton also looks set to be an unexpected full league debut for Isaac Schmidt.
Leeds United signed Schmidt last summer but the Swiss right-back didn’t make a single start in the Championship last time round, instead making just 12 total appearances off the bench.
The injury to Bogle will give Schmidt an unlikely opportunity to impress, and on the other side of defence will be Gabriel Gudmundsson who makes his debut, along with Lucas Perri in goal.
Leeds United fans were wowed by Anton Stach against AC Milan and he’ll surely start in a midfield three alongside Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka, with a front three of Dan James, Wilfried Gnonto and Joel Piroe.
Here’s how we think Leeds United will line up against Everton on Monday…
