The addition of Largie Ramazani is one big step in the right direction at Leeds United but the club still need to replace the loss of Georginio Rutter before the August 30 deadline.
Ramazani is set to be announced in the coming hours with the Belgian already spotted wearing Leeds training kit at Thorp Arch, undergoing a medical. The £10m arrival replaces Crysencio Summerville’s exit.
But there is still plenty of work to do. Daniel Farke has said on a number of occasions that he would like replacements for both Summerville and Rutter, as well as a midfielder and another full-back for depth.
Rutter left the club on Monday to join Brighton in a club-record deal, signing for the Seagulls in a £40m transfer. Leeds are left with a lack of quality in the 10 role, with Joel Piroe struggling against West Brom.

Celtic in £8m talks but Leeds should re-sign player instead
Scottish champions Celtic are looking to replace the possible loss of Kyogo Furuhashi with the Japan star unexpectedly a target for Manchester City, and Celtic are in talks to sign Mateusz Bogusz for a fee of £8m.
Bogusz only left Leeds officially in 2023, but the Pole was long out of the reckoning at Leeds by that point having gone on loan to Ibiza twice after a spell with Logrones, all of which came in Spain’s second tier.
He was sold to MLS side LAFC in early 2023 and has sparkled since, especially this season. So far, Bogusz is 32 games into the 2024 campaign and has scored a very impressive 16 goals as well as creating six.
If Leeds are looking at options to replace Rutter, why not Bogusz? A player that always has lots of talent at Leeds but never got the opportunity to break in, and is now showing just how good he can be.

Klich is a big fan of fellow countryman Bogusz with both in MLS
Bogusz has been playing as a striker, or a false nine at LAFC. Coming short and linking play, he has not only scored the goals for LAFC but he has contributed to play and transition from midfield to attack.
Little surprise, Celtic are after him with a fee between £6.8m and £8m required. But surely, Leeds could do a lot worse than rivalling Celtic and bringing Bogusz back to Leeds, where he has unfinished business.
Mateusz Klich feels he has “talent” and Bogusz has said that Klich convinced him of the MLS. Well, The 49ers should consider luring him back to Leeds and if he calls on Klich’s advice, he’ll surely come to Leeds.
