Leeds United boss Daniel Farke might have to say goodbye to a couple of rumoured signings, and for good reason too.
There’s no end of players being linked with moves to Leeds United as we get closer and closer to the summer transfer window, which promises change at Elland Road regardless of how this season pans out.
There’s the likes of Sam Byram and Junior Firpo out of contract and so that’ll prompt change in the full-back department. Elsewhere, Illan Meslier’s Leeds United future remains unclear with the Frenchman having been relatively unimpressive this season.
Then up front there’s work to do with Daniel Farke having quite riskily relied on Joel Piroe throughout the season, with Mateo Joseph in back up but not having done all that much, and Patrick Bamford stuck on the sidelines.
Pretty much every department within the playing squad will need some work doing to it in the summer. Two names mentioned quite heavily alongside Leeds in the last few weeks are Aaron Ramsdale and Cameron Archer, but Leeds might have to close the door on them.

Southampton’s ridiculous valuation of Tyler Dibling revealed
Southampton look set for something of a fire sale in the summer. The Saints are poised for relegation and a number of their players are already being linked with moves away: Ramsdale and Archer for two, whilst Leeds United are also interested in Kyle Walker-Peters who’s a free agent.
Another Saints player wanted elsewhere is Tyler Dibling. The youngster has interest from the likes of Manchester City, and amid that, it’s reported by Telegraph that Southampton want a staggering £100million to part ways with the 19-year-old, potentially signalling at the Saints’ readiness to drive hard bargains in the summer.
After a disastrous 2024/25 so far, Southampton are crashing back down to the Championship. There’s issues both on and off the field and it looks like the club will do all it can to prevent a total capitulation beyond this season, by raking in as much cash as they in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Leeds United can do better than Aaron Ramsdale and Cameron Archer
If this Dibling valuation is anything to go by then Leeds might find themselves priced out of moves for both Archer and Ramsdale; the latter especially with Chelsea eyeing a move for Ramsdale this summer.
But Leeds can do better anyway. Leeds United fans don’t want Ramsdale to join in the summer with the likes of Caoimhin Kelleher preferred, and fans have also mentioned James Trafford as a possible Leeds United target.
Then in attack, Manor Solomon would surely be a preferred signing over Archer given how well he’s done this season, and how poorly Archer has done for the Saints with just two goals in 26 Premier League games so far.
Besides, how well can Leeds expect to do if they sign up to three players from possibly the Premier League’s worst-eve side?
