Leeds United and Daniel Farke will not approve of what the EFL have announced ahead of the Sheffield United clash

The EFL hasn’t been too kind to Leeds United in such a pivotal time of the season, and that only continues.

It’s proving to be an end to the season which some Leeds fans might suggest is agenda-driven after recent announcements.

Sheffield United fan Craig Pawson was reffing Leeds until a last-minute change took place with Stuart Atwell coming in.

Despite what seemed like an improvement, the decision to appoint Atwell was probably worse as Neil Warnock fumed after Daniel Farke got booked.

With Farke now not appearing in the dugout against Sheffield United on Monday, another announcement has made matters worse for the Whites.

David Webb will referee Sheffield United vs Leeds United

After the conundrum of Pawson and Atwell, you’d think the talk with refereeing appointments is over.

However, David Webb is set to referee arguably the biggest game of the Championship season when the Blades welcome Leeds to Bramall Lane.

Another Monday night fixture suggests another of the EFL’s wrongdoings as Leeds won’t play at 3pm till March 29th.

Webb reffing the game might not seem like the end of the world, but he’s certainly got on the wrong side of Farke already.

Leeds and Farke will not approve of Webb’s appointment

After Leeds’ win vs Sunderland, the last thing Farke will want to see is refereeing mistakes.

Atwell denied Leeds a stonewall penalty and it caused uproar which Farke would’ve most likely held against the referee if the Whites hadn’t won.

However, he made no exception for Webb when Leeds met Sheffield Wednesday.

Leeds beat Wednesday 3-0, but that’s not to say the Whites boss didn’t show his frustration over Webb.

Farke could be seen stunned at some of Webb’s decisions throughout the Wednesday match and at one point had his head in his hands.

Some challenges were allowed to slide while some were penalised, and often they were against the Whites in the first half.

It left Farke shaking his head, and the Leeds manager probably hasn’t been as animated as the Wednesday game since.

Another obstacle Leeds will have to get over, and Farke will be hoping his team can take one huge step to Premier League promotion on Monday.
