Leeds United fans think they’ve figured out why Paraag Marathe wants to buy Rangers

Leeds United fans will be curious what the 49ers plan to do with the club after rumours have emerged about investment in Rangers.

Paraag Marathe and the 49ers are set to make their next big step away from Leeds in the footballing world in a bid to try and add the Scottish giants to their project.

It’s still early days, but Marathe likes Rangers’ fanbase which is similar to why the owners decided to buy the Whites in an outright deal.

The hope is that Leeds won’t be left in the dark as Rangers could be deemed better for European exploits due to their position in the Europa League currently.

However, this could turn out to be a remarkable scheme from the 49ers in growing Leeds even more.

The owners have made some solid decisions already in their time in Yorkshire, the 49ers keeping Daniel Farke was certainly one of them.

Now with the Leeds manager having a promising future after their brilliant form in the Championship, the Whites faithful will be impressed by Marathe’s behind-the-scenes work.

49ers Enterprises are supposedly open to the idea of establishing a multi-club model, similar to the likes of Manchester City, as Leeds fans react to what could be a developing prospect with Rangers.

How Man City’s multi-club model proves Leeds can have future success

Man City began its multi-club model in 2013 through the City Football Group (CFG), which has had major success incorporating the likes of Girona, New York City, Troyes, and many more.

This can give a glimpse into how Marathe operates Leeds into becoming a global phenomenon, as CFG themself are worth £5.5 billion, showing the heights the 49ers’ project can get to.

The 49ers want more ‘big hitters’ at Leeds and this is exactly what they’re doing by collaborating with Rangers.

City’s model is excellent, but the 49ers can bring their model to a whole new level, with Leeds being at the forefront of it all.
