Largie Ramazani sealed a late loan move away from Leeds United this summer, joining Carlos Corberan’s Valencia.
Last season, Leeds United had a few players, some of which new signings, who just couldn’t work their way into Daniel Farke’s XI. Or at least not on a regular basis.
One of those players was Largie Ramazani. Leeds United signed Ramazani for around £10million from Almeria and in 29 Championship outings he scored six goals, with two assists, despite only starting seven games.
Come this summer, it looked inevitable that Ramazani would leave the club on loan. But as deadline day passed and Leeds United failed to add another attacker to their ranks, the decision to loan out Ramazani has been met with criticism.
Farke is under the spotlight for the decision to let Ramazani leave on loan, and it’s only rubbing salt into the wounds that the Belgian has hit the ground running in Spain.

Largie Ramazani’s interesting Leeds United answer speaks volumes about Daniel Farke
Spanish media spoke fondly of Ramazani who claimed an assist on his Valencia debut, just days after arriving from Elland Road. And since then, Ramazani has given an interview with El Desmarque where he was asked a number of questions, including one about why he couldn’t make it stick at Leeds United.
Simply asked, ‘What did you lack to succeed at Leeds?’, Ramazani gave a quite surprising answer, almost dodging the question as he said: “Coming here [Valencia] can help me a lot.”
His comments are made more interesting by something Ramazani said about the club, and likely about Farke, soon after sealing his loan move to Carlos Corberan’s Valencia.

Largie Ramazani aims parting dig at Daniel Farke
Previously serving as Marcelo Bielsa’s no.2 at Elland Road, Corberan has since made a name for himself as a manager, with Huddersfield Town, West Brom, and now he’s doing a steady job at Valencia too.
Ramazani spoke positively about Corberan after signing for Valencia. In the same sentence, though, Ramazani aimed a thinly-veiled dig at Leeds boss Farke, saying: “Talking to the coach has given me a lot of confidence, and I’m happy.
“I like having someone who shows confidence in me. I think it’s very important for a player that your coach does that for you, and with that you can take a step forward.”
Ramazani’s latest response to a question about Leeds United suggests that he’s not at all focused on matters at Leeds right now, but on matters at Valencia, which is understandable after he performed well but failed to get anywhere near a regular starting spot last season.
