Leeds United have loaned out Largie Ramazani to Valencia CF, and the winger has already made his mark at the Mestalla.

Largie Ramazani came off the bench in the 87th minute against Getafe, mere days after signing from Leeds United on a season-long loan deal.

He played the ball across for striker Hugo Duro to secure Valencia’s first three points of the season in a 3-0 win for Carlos Corberan.

It’s a fantastic start and will benefit his parent club if he can continue that sort of form for the whole of 2025/26. His Leeds side wanted a recall clause with Valencia, and they may well be gutted that it isn’t an option for them

The Whites wanted other aspects in the deal as well, with Leeds reportedly pushing for a Ramazani loan fee to be added into the loan. The good news is that, even if they didn’t get their way a fee, Valencia agreed to no permanent clause for Ramazani.

Largie Ramazani praise emerges from Spain

Ramazani has explained his Leeds exit, but further comments have since emerged with Ramazani having a dig at Farke amid praise for the faith Corberan has shown in him already.

That went one better with the substitute appearance. Prior to that, he had been handed just two starts in Leeds’ 27 competitive fixtures in 2025 so far. That included being unused in 11 of those matches.

Ramazani’s brother and agent has also swiped at Leeds for the lack of regular game time in West Yorkshire. However, he will be thankful his client has already started well — and the Spanish media agree.

Super Deporte said: “There were doubts about whether Largie Ramazani would be available for today’s match and would be included in the squad for the match against Getafe.

“Finally, after passing the medical and announcing the signing of the Belgian on Thursday, August 28, he was finally registered and therefore included in Carlos Corberan’s squad.

“The Belgian winger, who arrived in Spain less than 48 hours ago, has already played his first official minutes in a ‘Black and White’ shirt.

The Manchester United youth product was quick to give his first glimpses of his talent. In the 97th minute, in what was practically the last chance of the match, a headed clearance from [Mouctar] Diakhaby behind the defence allowed Mestalla to witness just how quick and agile the Belgian winger is .

“He took the ball after Diakhaby’s header, controlled it, took off and at the perfect moment the Belgian released the ball to slip a sweet touch to Hugo Duro, who flicked the ball in at will to make it 3-0 and secure their first win of the season.

“Today’s great 3-0 victory against Getafe with the good feelings of the recent signings of [Arnaut] Danjuma, [Baptiste] Santamaria and Ramazani.”

The chances of Illan Meslier joining Ramazani at Valencia

Illan Meslier is widely expected to leave Leeds this summer after a string of errors in their promotion season saw him lose his starting spot to Karl Darlow.

Having fallen down the pecking order, Meslier was stripped of his squad number and he has not featured in a Leeds squad this season. Farke has frozen him out.

Meslier has been linked with a sensational move to PSG this summer, with his former club, Lorient, also holding an interest, but they are unlikely to be able to afford his wages.

Following reports that Valencia have now made Meslier a priority target, Corberan has given an update on whether he is in the market for a goalkeeper in the current transfer window.

Corberan is calm about Valencia’s goalkeeper situation. It does not appear that anything is imminent in that respect.
