Leeds United romped to an easy 4-0 victory over Swansea City on Tuesday night.
The Whites found themselves two goals to the good inside the opening 10 minutes as Crysencio Summerville and Joel Piroe both found the back of the net.
Willy Gnonto – who missed a golden chance to make it three quickly after that – then added a further two either side of the break to round off a very comfortable evening for Daniel Farke’s side.
The 20-year-old also provided the assist for Piroe’s goal and last night’s game is just further evidence that he is now very much back to his best after a difficult first half of the season.
He has now has four goals in as many starts and Dan James – despite his incredible campaign so far – faces a real challenge getting back into the starting XI following his return from injury.
Gnonto back to his best for Leeds
Gnonto had very much been suffering from the hangover from his summer debacle earlier in the season but a run of starts has really enabled him to finally show what he can do.
Everyone knew on the evidence of last season that the ‘special’ Gnonto had the ability to rip up this league but it has taken him much longer to do so than everyone had expected.

Aidy White claimed at the weekend he is now looking very much back to his best, while Farke also added that he has really grown up since the events of the summer, which can only be good for Leeds.
More often than not he is just so clean on the ball and when you’re adding two goals and an assist on top of that attribute, he just adds so much to the team.
That goal against Bristol City has pretty much single-handedly turned his season around and it could prove to be a significant turning point in the season for him, and Leeds.
