Leeds United made it six Championship wins in a row with a 3-0 victory over Rotherham United.
It was an extremely comfortable afternoon for the Whites, who in truth could’ve won by a bigger margin, that was handed to them thanks to a controversial opener from Patrick Bamford, and two from Crysencio Summerville.
Daniel Farke named an unchanged side from the one that defeated Bristol City last Friday, meaning Willy Gnonto was handed his fourth consecutive start in the absence of Dan James.
Having got on the scoresheet in the last two, Gnonto was unable to make it three in a row today, but was still considerably better than he had been in previous matches.
Speaking on BBC Radio Leeds after the game, pundit Aidy White believes Gnonto is looking like his former self again, with that goal last week a clear ‘weight off his shoulders’.
Whites praises Gnonto resurgence in form
“I thought he was very, very good today. The last two or three performances he looks like he has his confidence back. He looked like he had a weight on his shoulders, still trying to get that summer out of his system, proving his point and trying too hard.
“It didn’t seem like his performances were natural, now he looks like the Willy Gnonto of old, happy, electric, pace, direct. He looks like he has found his form again and it’s nice.”

Gnonto could and perhaps should’ve got himself on the scoresheet again but it is good to see him back to somewhere close to his best again, filling in admirably for the injured James.
The 1-1 draw with Plymouth Argyle in the cup last month was probably the lowest he has felt in a Leeds shirt, but that winner at Bristol City has proved to be such a turning point.
Hopefully he can continue producing these sort of performances in the coming matches, which would hand Farke a tough decision when James does return.
