Daniel Farke was asked about Leeds United’s decision to sell Luis Sinisterra permanently in his press conference yesterday.
Sinisterra’s permanent switch to the Cherries was confirmed by both clubs on Friday lunchtime after a guaranteed fee of £20 million was agreed.
Farke had been keen to keep Sinisterra last summer until he made it abundantly clear he wanted to leave, becoming the last of eight players to depart on loan after Leeds’ relegation from the Premier League.
It has been reported that Leeds have no intention of reintegrating any of the out-on-players back at the club, and it has to be said, Farke’s comments very much echoed that yesterday.
The Leeds boss spoke pretty lengthily about the decision to sell Sinisterra, but there was one particular part of the quote that stood out as a hint to Leeds’ summer plans.
Farke’s Sinisterra quotes a big hint on Leeds plans
He said: “I am always a bit careful when a player is here and wants to go, to then bring him back in – it is like putting food in a microwave it is never as good as when it was freshly cooked. It is beneficial for us.”
Without actually saying the exact words, Farke has effectively confirmed that he does not want to see any of the loanees return in the summer.

He clearly believes that it is beneficial for the club as a whole to draw a line under those players, and there certainly won’t be many supporters who disagree with what he’s said there.
The likes of Robin Koch, Brenden Aaronson and Marc Roca were all rumoured to be leaving almost instantly after relegation last year, but there were some that certainly hit Farke harder.
He wanted to keep both Sinisterra and Max Wober, with the latter’s exit the first one that really stung. Despite what he may have thought back then, that was clearly their last chance as a Leeds player for how ever long he is in charge.
