Leeds United sent 11 players out on loan during a chaotic summer transfer window.

Following relegation from the Premier League, Leeds were helpless as they watched numerous members of last season’s first team squad trigger loan clauses in their contract to earn them moves back to some of Europe’s top leagues.

Leeds also provided a handful of youngsters the opportunity to go out and play regularly, too, though for the majority of them, it looks like their Elland Road careers may be over.

It has certainly been a mixed bag for those who departed temporarily over the summer, with some finding some real form, and others enduring a tough time.

So, with the first international break upon us, here is a summary of how they have got on so far.

Marc Roca

Roca has been really impressive for Real Betis in his 11 appearances across all competitions so far, scoring his first goal in a 3-0 win over Valencia earlier this month.

His fine form saw him rewarded with a place in Spain’s preliminary squad for this international break, though he did not quite do enough to make the final one.

Jack Harrison

Harrison is now finally over the hip injury that plagued him for so long in pre-season and already looks to be on his way to becoming a fan favourite at Goodison Park.

After being handed his full debut in a Carabao Cup win at Aston Villa, Harrison started for the first time in the league at Everton on Saturday against Bournemouth, where he netted a brilliant goal in a 3-0 win.

Luis Sinisterra

Sinisterra is still yet to have any sort of impact so far with all three of his appearances having come as a substitute.

Andoni Iraola confirmed last week Sinisterra is still looking to reach full fitness and so it would appear they are looking to manage him carefully.

Max Wober

Despite Borussia Monchengladbach’s struggles, Wober appears to be having a solid individual campaign with the German media having praised him several times recently.

Wober has started all seven Bundesliga matches so far, of which he has registered two assists despite Gladbach only having won once.

Another player seemingly shining in the Bundesliga is centre-back Koch, who has played every minute of every game in the division’s strongest defence.

He also netted his first goal for the club in a Conference League win over Aberdeen back in September.

Brenden Aaronson

At the other end of the scale, Aaronson is really struggling to make any sort of impact at Union Berlin since his loan move.

He has started just one game since picking up a red card in the second game of the season, of which he was hooked at half-time. Still no goals or assists.

Rasmus Kristensen

Like Aaronson, another one who appears to be struggling badly is Kristensen at Roma, who was so poor in his first month that he was omitted from their Europa League squad.

He has also been recently dropped from the starting XI in Serie A, too, as things continue to go from bad to worse.

Diego Llorente

Llorente had been looking solid enough at Roma up until he picked up an injury in the first half of a 4-1 defeat at Genoa last month.

He is still yet to make his return to action with injuries having been something that have plagued him in recent years.

Sam Greenwood

Greenwood was used as a substitute in his first four matches as a Middlesbrough players but has now found himself in Michael Carrick’s starting XI.

After playing 87 minutes in a 2-0 win over Cardiff City, he was then handed another start in a 4-0 victory at former club Sunderland, a game in which he scored the opening goal.

Cody Drameh

Having carried his struggles at Leeds over to Birmingham in his first couple of matches, Drameh looks as though he has found his way again in recent weeks.

Drameh has provided an assist in each of Birmingham’s last two matches, including a beauty of a cross in the 3-1 win over West Bromwich Albion.

Sonny Perkins

Things are really not going well for Perkins at high-flying Oxford United, where he has played just two minutes of League One action so far.

He has also been left out of the last four matchday squads, and it is not thought to be injury related.
