Former Leeds United defender Tony Dorigo has expressed his one major concern ahead of the club’s upcoming game with Newcastle United.
Daniel Farke and his Leeds side extended their unbeaten run to seven games with a battling draw against Manchester United at Elland Road.
Brenden Aaronson was the hero for Leeds as they added their 11th point from the last seven games to further improve their Premier League survival hopes.
However, Leeds’ battling draw came at a cost, as Farke admitted three players are doubtful for the trip to the North East, as his side completed their third game since 28th December.
With just three days to recover before their next Premier League game, Dorigo expressed his concern that Leeds may not have enough time to recover from their recent exploits.

Tony Dorigo concerned by short Leeds United turnaround
Speaking to LUTV after the game, Dorigo shared his worries about Leeds’ ability to recover from their gruelling encounter at Elland Road.
According to Dorigo, although Leeds will be used to quick turnarounds after games in the Championship, the increased intensity of the Premier League presents a new challenge to the team.
Asked about Leeds’ upcoming game against Newcastle, Dorigo said: “That’s the worry. I think with such a huge run of games that we’ve had, things are going really well.
“This is emotional and physical, this game against Manchester United, and quickly we’ve got to turn it around again.
“The boys are used to it in the Championship, but this pace and tempo is a little bit higher in the Premier League, so it is going to be a tough game.
“I think it’s all about recovery now, so the boys better get home, get an early night, good food, good recovery, and then go again.”

Leeds United can take a decisive step to safety against Newcastle United
Leeds’ draw against Man United moved them eight points clear of relegation rivals West Ham with 20 games of the 2025/26 season now played.
According to Opta’s Jonny Cooper, in a post on the social media site X (formerly Twitter), no side in Premier League history has been relegated after establishing an eight-point gap on the bottom three at this stage in the season.
Realistically, how long can Leeds United’s unbeaten run go on for?
Daniel Farke has overseen Leeds' longest Premier League unbeaten run since David O'Leary in 2001
However, this is unlikely to offer much comfort to Leeds fans, who have seen their side defy similar odds in the past.
Farke will not be comfortable until his side is mathematically safe from relegation. If Leeds can extend their current unbeaten run to eight games, they will take another decisive step towards avoiding the drop in the process.
