With plenty of rumours circulating around Leeds United at the moment, one has surprised Simon Grayson.

The former Leeds boss still keeps a keen eye on the club, as Grayson is a big fan of Dan James.

It seems like he’s a big fan of the club in general and has shown his support through managing them in a tough time between 2008 and 2012.

Well now the Whites are on the up under the 49ers and everything is going the right way.

However, Grayson has seen something that has left him in bafflement at Elland Road.

Simon Grayson left shocked at Leeds United rumours

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks around the club as Leeds will be returning to the Premier League.

Daniel Farke has the chance to win the title on Saturday against Plymouth in what will be a brilliant ending to this campaign.

But Grayson has been left ‘very surprised’ at rumours that the 49ers are sacking Farke.

Well the former Whites manager has expressed his dismissal of this claim and refuses to believe the ownership would sack Farke.

Speaking to TEAMTALK, Grayson has claimed the season has been ‘absolutely fantastic’ and letting go of Farke would seemingly be a mistake.

“It’s been a remarkable season for them and the biggest accolade you can give him is that there has been no hangover whatsoever after losing the play-off final to Southampton last season,” Grayson said.

“He’s got the players and supporters onside and to produce the performances they have – with all the goals scored – has been absolutely fantastic.

“He could take Leeds up with 100 points if they win at Plymouth and the goal difference is probably going to be the highest ever.

“I’m not quite sure where the rumours are coming from, but I’d be very surprised if Daniel is not the Leeds manager when the Premier League season starts in August.”

Sacking Farke could lead to complete uproar at Leeds

The owners will want to make decisions to please the fanbase and not cause any disruption to their plans.

Well if they chose to sack Farke after such an incredible season, then it won’t end well.

Farke has topped Don Revie with records proving how he deserves his chance in the top flight.

A reality where he gets sacked will leave the Whites faithful seething, and if they get relegated without giving Farke the chance, the relationship between the hierarchy and fanbase could turn sour.

It’s too risky of a choice and that’s exactly why Farke should remain.
